Seeking Shalom

The synagogue that my family attended while I was growing up is named Rodef Shalom which translates to "pursuer of peace".   As a child I gave little thought to the name or to what it might mean in my future life.

Shalom, and more deeply, shalem, wholeness and completeness, has become the focal point of my life and my work.   I am deeply intrigued by the idea of shalom, the symbols that have come to represent shalom, the multi faceted layers of shalom, what it means to pursue peace, to create peace, to be whole and to create wholeness within Jewish tradition.

I'll use this blog to explore and to share my explorations around shlemut, completeness.  I invite you to share with me as well.
